Stars with Superstars (aka Star-Gazing and Networking Annual Telescope Trip) or Virtual Space Trip via Zoom
Date: August 2021 8 pm - 12 am
Location: Mount Wilson Observatory OR Virtual via Zoom depending on pandemic conditions
Our annual stargazing and networking event may be back! If the pandemic circumstances allow, will be resuming our annual outing to the 60” telescope at Mt. Wilson Observatory for what many TCN members call their favorite networking event. Join us for the pre-telescope viewing private tour and get to know the famous telescope that was used by Edwin Hubble and Albert Einstein. Star gaze for a few minutes at a time at the planets, stars, nebulae, and galaxies that our telescope operator guides you to and for the rest of the time while others take a peek at the heavens, you can spend your evening networking in a uniquely fun event: networking in the dark / dim red astrophotography lights, getting to know other amazing TCN members and their guests, and having some laughs. Guests and families are welcome to attend with some age restrictions (we’ll need to check post-pandemic rules but it used to be 12 and up only). Cost is $150 per TCN member and $200 per person for others. This is a private event and we will have the giant telescope to ourselves for the entire half a night. Mt. Wilson will provide us with our own telescope operator. Usually they allow up to 25 people in the telescope dome but we’re assuming it’ll be limited to 10 people

Spaces are limited and this event always sells out. If we cancel the event for one more year because of pandemic safety concerns, your funds will be refunded back to you and we’ll do something online a little earlier in the evening with people who have worked on NASA and JPL projects. That event will be free. Please feel free to RSVP for either event.

To RSVP for the free virtual event, please email us starting on March 18th with the subject line “RSVP for Virtual Space Trip”. RSVP will be accepted until two days before the event.

To RSVP for the in person observatory and telescope viewing, please email us starting on March 18th with the subject line “RSVP for Annual Telescope Trip” and write down the names of everyone attending, ages if under 18, and whether they are a TCN member or not, and if you prefer to pay via Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, through the TCN website (which uses Stripe.com), or by check. We will send you an email with directions. Please note that we cannot hold your RSVP for you and your guests until we receive funds because we need to pay Mt. Wilson months in advance to hold the date for us.

RSVPs for the Annual Telescope Trip will be accepted until August 1st or earlier when it sells out (probably sometime between April and June as it has in previous years). Please note that the 100+ year-old dome is not ADA compliant, that getting to the telescope observing deck requires about 40 stairs.. The Observatory is at 5,700-feet elevation, so anyone with heart problems or breathing difficulties should not attempt the trip.

Fall schedule to be announced in mid-September

Events are typically added 2-3 months before they occur - please check this page regularly.

In-person Trojan CEO Network events are currently suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak. Please stay safe! In-person Trojan CEO Network events will resume once we feel that the outbreak is no longer a threat to our community. Until then we will still provide virtual Zoom-based events and will announce exclusive discounts for our members starting in September 2021. Fight On!

TCN members may bring guests to this event but please sign up early.

Learn from the Founder and CEO of simplehuman a company making elegantly simple high-end consumer household products sold nationally and internationally. Frank Yang immigrated to the U.S. in 1982 and started his company in 2000 with the idea of making a better trashcan. Soon he expanded into award-winning kitchen and bath products. This event will be kept purposely small so that TCN members and USC students can have a exclusive view into the mind of a successful entrepreneur.

Information Session for Trojan CEO Network Forum Groups
Date: December 10, 2015 3:30-4 pm

Location: Online
To RSVP: Email TrojanCEO@gmail.com

Adapted from forum groups from YPO and EO, Trojan CEO Forum groups are a powerful peer-learning tool that groups CEOs together in order to help each other in confidential monthly meetings. Forum Groups include one monthly meetings with other Trojan CEOs, Presidents, Founders, and Executive Directors. Monthly meetings are typically two hours and meet over teleconference line that will be provided to you.

There is a required commitment of one year for each forum group and monthly meetings cannot be skipped (you'll need to arrange your travel and work schedules around the meetings). Membership in TCN does not guarantee participation in TCN Forum groups however you will be contacted as soon as there is an available group that you would be a good match for.

This teleconference meeting will explain the details of the Trojan CEO Forum group program so you can make a decision about whether or not you would like to participate. If you are interested, you will fill out a survey that will allow us to match you with other CEOs and for CEOs who are matched, their forum groups will start meeting as of January 2016. CEOs have told us that the Trojan CEO Forum is one of the best success tools they have ever experienced so RSVP today!
